Brewed this one today for the BIG BREW 2008 at the Rockyard Brewery in Castle Rock CO.
In additon to the above ingredients I added:
32oz. Whoppers Chocolate Malt Balls
1/2 Gallon of Bryers non fat Cappiccino Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream
It is now in primary after I have pitched two packets of dry yeast:
Safale S-33 and Safale S-05 (wanted to make sure I had enough 'boys' in there to attenuate)
It smells of rich chocolate at the moment and I am expecting it to be a vigorus ferment.

5.7.08 MBM is going strong and yes half the house smells of chocolate and yeast!

5.14.08 Racked it to secondary today. Deep rich chocolaty goodness...

6-2-08 Bottled this batch in 12oz and it is all in the closet conditioning now.
Tasted some of it and in my opinion it is very good...Chocolate has lessened but it has a very full body almost chewy. One days calorie intake in one bottle!

Foam Fest '08 Judges slamed this beer for not having carbonation...no Aroma, No Carbonation, No apparent Whopper flavor, and a cry for more alcohol? 12% not enough...What's up Doc?
I'm losing faith in BJCP competition Judging...Will force carbonate and see if it changes at all...

The Hoppers love it and for that I am proud of this beer...screw the judges!

MBM Never carbonated in bottle...Had to force.
Wow! What a difference bubbles make...dark rich chocolate and Cappucino aromas. Nice rich alcohol balance...I'm in love
