American IPA – All Grain GONE

Statistics

General Info

Used large 13 gallon blue plastic extract carboy as the fermentor.

Comments

1/16/2011  Racked to secondary in two glass carboys.  60-40 split.  Dry-hopped the larger volume w/ 2 oz Amarillo.  Second, smaller volume carboy got a bit more sediment from the extract carboy.

1/22/2011 Racked the larger volume (dry-hopped) carboy into a keg, but left about a gallon behind that didn't fit.  1.012 @ 60.1F.  Racked the smaller volume carboy into the empty carboy containing the remain gallon and the hop sock of Amarillo.  Will dry-hop this as well for about a week (or sooner if a keg becomes available).

Nice hop aroma from the dry hopping and the flavor/bitterness is really in balance.  Nice pale golden color.
