American Pale Ale – All Grain GONE

Statistics

General Info

We were still getting lots of gravity from the mash.  Pulled another 4 gallons.  Sparged until gravity was 1.003. added 1 gallon or so from the boiling kettle.

Then my next door neighbor pulled the blue dickie (outlet) off the mash tun while dumping the grain.  As punishment for breaking the mash tun, I made him brew this beer.  He wanted it to be something "hoppy".

Comments

This beer was foul and nasty.  Way too bitter and way too thin.  But blended 50/50 with Kneewalker, made a nice bitter APA.

Procedure

Again - this beer was made for "free" from an unexpectedly efficient mash yeild from brewing "Hop on Top".  Only cost was for additional hops, which I had laying around.
